MacOS automatic dark/light mode

Due to popular demand, our MacOS app and web app now have a SYSTEM setting so it automatically switches to dark or light mode depending on your OS. Set it and fuggedaboutit.

Your mind now recognizes screenshots

mymind now automatically classifies your screenshots as a card type.

✦ Just search screenshots and hit enter to find them.

✦ Screenshots are analyzed and enriched with additional metadata so you can easily find them by searching whatever you remember from the image (text, an object, theme etc)

✦ This already worked before, but your screenshots got mixed in with images. Now they have their own card type. It's still in beta and will get even better soon.

PS: Put only your important and precious screenshots in your mind. This keeps your searches clean and makes your mind more useful (:

Searching with keyboard shortcuts

You can now use the keyboard only to navigate Search on mymind.

✦ Press [ENTER] to focus into search.

✦ Press ↓ and ←→ to select a card type below and do a deep search if needed from there. Hit [ESC] to reset the entire search. Works both on web and MacOS app right now. Small update, but useful (:

The new Chrome Extension update v3.3

The latest version of our Chrome extension brings general quality updates, plus:

✦ More reliable magic classifications across a wider range of websites

✦ Improved social integrations

✦ A Command+Shift+S shortcut to save the current page directly to mymind

✦ Added Omnibox search support: Type MM into the browser's omnibox, press [SPACE], enter your query, then press [RETURN] into the search bar.

PS: This update affects everyone on a Chromium based browser: aka Brave, Microsoft Edge etc. We will ship these updates to Safari next, as part of a MacOS update.

Using tables in notes

Tables can now be added by pressing / within a note.

This one isn't very mymind. We almost didn't ship it. But we also know some of you really wanted it. So here it is. We're a little embarrassed, so let's not talk about it too much, okay?

PS: We bring you these updates in a constant effort to create something of quality – a pursuit I find increasingly rare today and, if I may dare to say it, noble. More thoughts on that here.
